Do you have previous travel industry experience within a retail or tour operator background? My client, a successful independent Tour Operator based in The City of London is seeking an experienced Travel Consultant to join their small reservations team.

As a Sales & Operations Executive you will be responsible for maximising sales, providing administrative support and dealing with any after sales queries to travel trade partners, suppliers and direct customers.


DUTIES:


  • Maximise sales leads generated from both travel trade and direct customers, by providing excellent customer service
  • Liaising with other internal and overseas departments to provide resolutions to issues raised
  • Maintaining the database, including agent commissions, ensuring all data is accurate and up to date
  • Organisation and administration of trade promotional events and competitions
  • Produce and distribute effective communication both internally and externally, via the most appropriate manner
  • Participation in the daytoday office tasks including, but not limited to, opening and actioning post, filing, issuing travel documentation, telephone answering, and general administration

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:


  • Minimum 2 years sales experience within the travel industry
  • Experience working with retail travel or tour operations
  • Good sales techniques and an excellent telephone manner
  • Experience working to targets
  • Attention to detail and the ability work under pressure
  • Proven customer service skills

PACKAGE:


  • A competitive basic salary of £24,000 £27,000 (depending on experience) + bonus


  • Mon

  • Fri: 95pm with the occasional Saturdays
  • Hybrid working
