    We're recruiting for an Actuarial Analyst to join the Financial Reporting team in our newly refurbished Hove Office. We're offering a competitive base salary, great benefits and full actuarial study support as well as the opportunity to get involved with some interesting work.

    You will perform, with some guidance, tasks and processes that enable an effective and efficient financial reporting service; which will include providing financial results for all metrics in a timely and efficient manner, as well as providing any supporting analysis and commentary as required. You will also provide regular and reliable updates to management to enable the team to disseminate financial information in an effective and informative manner, ensuring its presentation meets the wide background and experience of the customer base.

    What you'll be doing:

    • Providing timely financial reporting results, for the appropriate business divisions, for all metrics (including but not limited to IFRS17 and Solvency II), that meet required internal and external standards.
    • Supporting the analytical and investigative work carried out by the team.
    • Identifying, establishing and maintaining collaborative working relationships with other teams and customers involved in the reporting process to ensure that results are delivered in a smooth, controlled and efficient manner, responding calmly and with pragmatism to unforeseen events.
    • Performing, with some guidance, the tasks necessary to enable the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of the team's financial reporting systems, processes and reporting methodologies to ensure that they are robust and fit for purpose of the ongoing production of financial results.
    Qualifications

    Who we're looking for:

    • A Student Actuary who has made progress through the initial IFoA Exams (with a minimum of x2 successful exam sittings being highly preferable)
    • Previous experience within an Actuarial Role (with Life Insurance experience being highly preferable).
    • The ability to work to tight deadlines and effectively manage priorities.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • The ability to work with minimal guidance and use own initiative as required.
    • A personable/approachable demeanour and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
    • A flexible approach to work and requirements in a constantly evolving environment.
