An excellent opportunity to join a specialist professional services and technology firm, working in partnership with leading insurance, highly regulated and global businesses has arisen.

Due to exponential growth, my client is looking for a Group Financial Accountant to join the Group Finance Team.

The individual will take an active role in all aspects of the Group's financial accounting agenda with a particular focus on consolidation, cashflowand working capital.


Responsibilities include:


  • Ownership of the final monthly consolidation outputs
  • Preparation of the group consolidations on the Planful system (internal consolidation system) which includes
  • Reviewing validation checks and intercompany reports, liaising with subsidiaries and divisions to clear errors and differences, preparing and posting consolidation journals
  • Integrating changes in group structure into the consolidation
  • Liaising with the Acquisitions accountant and the M&A team on a regular basis to ensure acquisitions are consolidated correctly
  • Finalisation of the Group consolidations
  • Process improvements for the group consolidation system
  • Acting as Planful liaison for the rest of the group and with the external Planful support team
  • Preparation of monthly cashflows
  • Ownership of Group Fixed assets reporting
  • Assistance in Internal Group services reporting
  • Ad hoc tasks to assist the Director, Group Finance and other members of the wider Finance function.

The ideal profile:


  • Qualified accountant with excellent working knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS and minimum 2 year PQE
  • Prior experience of preparing group statutory accounts and monthly management accounts
  • Prior experience of performing large multicurrency consolidations
  • Working knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS
  • Ability to understand and work with multiple companies and business divisions
  • A curious mind and a dedicated approach to work with a willingness to recommend and implement improvements to the processes
  • Ability to work under pressure, excellent time management skills and ability to meet agreed deadlines in a fastmoving environment
  • Pride in one's work
