- Overseeing Funding Distribution: Manage payment processes for externally funded scholarships, bursaries, and other financial support schemes provided by Careers and Employability.
- Selection Process Coordination: Develop and coordinate processes for selecting students and graduates for funding sources, ensuring fairness and transparency.
- Stakeholder Communication: Proactively communicate with applicants, funding sponsors, and other stakeholders to provide clear information about funding opportunities, application procedures, and outcomes.
- Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate financial records, process orders and invoices in adherence to university financial regulations.
- Record System Maintenance: Design and maintain a comprehensive record-keeping system to track funding from sponsors to recipients, ensuring an auditable trail and data integrity.
- Database Management: Maintain student and graduate records, developing a good understanding of the Career Service Management system.
- Recipient Support: Maintain contact with funding recipients ensuring they meet conditions of their awards and provide necessary support throughout the funding period.
- Marketing and Promotion: Collaborate with colleagues to promote awards, funding, and bursaries to students and graduates.
- Scheme Enhancement: Work with colleagues to enhance existing funding schemes for optimal student and graduate benefit, monitoring, reviewing, and improving processes.
- Reporting: Prepare regular summary reports for strand managers and wider stakeholders, providing insights into funding distribution, outcomes, and impact.
- Alignment with Priorities: Align financial support with key priorities such as equality and diversity and graduate progression.
- Research and Promotion of Funding Opportunities: Research external funding opportunities and collaborate with communications colleagues to promote them effectively to students and graduates
- Administrative Skills: Proficiency in administrative tasks, including financial record-keeping, data management, and reporting.
