- Experience in Design and/or integration of fuel cells, cooling systems for Fuel Cells, Power electronics, Balance of Plant into hydrogen energy systems for powertrains.
- Working knowledge of thermal management solutions such as heat pumps and phase change cooling for batteries or other energy storage systems.
- Working experience in safety analysis of H2 systems integration (fuel cell, cooling systems, hydrogen tanks), using tools like DFMEA and PFMEA to develop test plans.
- Proficiency with CAD systems like CATIA, Siemens NX or SolidWorks will be highly regarded, as well as experience with FEA and CFD packages like ANSYS, Nastran/Patran or FLUENT (CFD)
- Knowledge of thermal management solutions such as heat pumps and phase change cooling for batteries or other energy storage systems.
- Strong hold on aircraft design and impact upon fuel systems architectural development and vice versa.
- Experience of working within an R&D environment with a focus on delivery to industry
- Knowledge on Functional systems development
