About the role:
An excellent opportunity has arisen to join our Procurement Team on a part time, permanent basis to support us with general procurement contract administration, monitoring various systems and dealing with internal and external customers and to provide professional support to help us achieve our ambitious goals.
You will mainly focus on administrative tasks which will involve assisting and gathering information to assist the Procurement Lead to run a strategic procurement function.
You will support the Procurement Lead with the preparation of tender and contract documents and uploading information and contracts onto the council's Finance System and contracts' register.
This is a chance to really make an impact; ensuring the council is compliant in all procurement activities.
About you:
An excellent communicator with strong organisational skills, you will be experienced in using Microsoft Office/Teams.
Self-motivated and proactive, you will have previous administrative experience and be able to manage your own workload with mínimal supervision to meet multiple deadlines and requests.
A good general knowledge surrounding the concepts and principles of procurement would be helpful, but we are committed to finding the right person and an experienced administrator with an interest in Public Procurement would thrive in this role.
Striking the balance between assisting in a compliant procurement process whilst maintaining flexibility to meet stakeholder needs, you'll be known for your reliability, attention to detail and organisation, alongside a collaborative and proactive approach.
