Description

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner to work in our developing Primary Care Mental Health Practitioner Team.

The role will be based in the East Staffs Primary Care Network working in Burton and Uttoxeter.

Do you have a genuine interest in working with people who are experiencing mental health difficulties within the primary care setting?

Do you work well with individuals on a 1-1 basis and in group situations?

Are you forward thinking, and highly organised?

Have you got excellent communication skills and work well within a multi-professional and multiagency setting?

To take responsibility for providing holistic assessment, care and treatment to clients referred to the Primary Mental Health Service.


Foster robust working relationships with all partners in particular GP's, Practice Nurses, other primary care Staff and third sector services.


Provision of support and advice to GPs and other primary care providers (such as practice nurses) to enable them to safely manage and care for people with mental health problems.

Contribute to the continuing improvement and development of Primary Mental Health Services.
