    Salary: up to £25 per hour depending on experience

    We plan to offer nationwide classes, workshops and events to children and young people on a wide variety of subjects under our five educational Hubs: Code, STEM, Innovation & Enterprise, Creativity and Health & Wellbeing.

    Role & Responsibilities

    We are planning to launch our own Online Learning Platform for children and young people by Summer 2024. We are seeking a skilled PHP Developer to build out Moodle with the required features and functionality to make it an engaging and user-friendly environment that supports learning and interaction.

    You will work closely with our Learning Designers, who are creating content using Articulate and Rise 360, and our Head of EdTech. We have already installed Moodle.

    Responsibilities

    · Develop, customise and configure Moodle to meet our needs and requirements.

    · Integrate third-party tools and plug-ins and implement features and functionality to enhance user experience.

    · Optimise the platform for ease of use and accessibility.

    · Update the platform to include new features and updates. Troubleshoot and fix any issues.

    · Provide training to the team as needed.

    The ideal person will have

    · Proven experience in Moodle development and customisation.

    · Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.

    · Familiarity with LMS best practices and e-learning standards.

    · Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

    · Excellent communication skills.
