Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Integrated Merlin Operational Support Manager on behalf of one of our clients.

The Support Manager leads a team across (IMOS contracts) with a significant focus on personnel and operational capability, ensuring excellent service to the customer, strong financial returns, service improvements and business growth.

You will lead all operationalactivity, inspiring and developing your team, and ensuring that policies and processes are in place, in line with the Management System, to govern your areas of responsibility, mitigate risk and meet all business and legislative requirements.


Main Accountabilities:


  • Oversee the management and operational delivery of teams in the IMOS organisation, ensuring effective governance control, to enable sustained ability to meet contractual obligations.
  • Be responsible for the establishment and operation of an organizational structure, in terms of personnel, procedures and geographical layout that provides a sound framework for safe efficient and effective engineering activity.
  • The management, care, custody and security of all personnel and equipment assets within their charge.
  • Ensure that the required engineering standards and authorised practices are employed across their teams.
  • Ensuring that an integrated Quality Management System and Quality culture exist.
  • Identifies and implements strategic service improvements across the Contract.
  • Manage and develop the customer base providing our customers with innovative solutions and capability options to support their transformation plans and business goals.
  • Identify organic business growth and works closely with the Contract Lead to identify and deliver new growth on the Contract.
  • Provide inspirational leadership, to ensure our employees understand and adopt our business strategy and plans so that they are successfully delivered.

What you'll need to do the role:

  • Be an experienced Aircraft Engineer.
  • Have a minimum of 10years' experience in either a Civil or Military aviation environment.
  • Knowledge of MAA, CAA & EASA Part 145 Regulations/Approvals.
  • Understanding of all Civil and Military Airworthiness Safety Regulations
  • Proven leadership and management skills, able to enthuse, inspire and engage.
  • Creative thinking, able to develop business improvement ideas and innovate.
  • An excellent communicator, with welldeveloped presentation skills and a firstclass influencer.
  • Capable of thinking and working both strategically and operationally.
  • Capable of developing partnerships and professional relationships with customer, subcontractors and key stakeholders.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety in the workplace.
