    About the Team

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Early Years Advisory Practitioner within the Early Years Service.

    About the Role

  • Supporting the development of quality early years practice within the Authority,
  • Providing advice and guidance on the breadth of the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework,
  • Advising on safeguarding practice and procedures and facilitating training,
  • Strengths in developing practice in the foundational prime areas of learning and development with the younger children,
  • Providing advice, support and guidance to settings who have children in receipt of 2-year-funding and Early Years Pupil Premium,
  • Supporting settings who receive an Ofsted judgement of less than good,
  • Delivering a range of training, including Foundation Child Protection and co- facilitating clusters.
  • About You

    The successful candidate will have significant recent experience of working in a pre-reception class early years setting, and leading or supporting practice. They will be a strong communicator and reflective thinker and have the skills to build positive relationships with our valued early years leaders and practitioners, across a range of home and group-based settings. They will be flexible and enjoy the challenges and opportunities of working in a small, experienced, and highly motivated team.

    They will hold a relevant level 3 Qualification or above.

    For this vacancy, in addition to the general job description, we are looking for a candidate with strong knowledge and experience of childminding as the post holder will be predominately supporting childminders.
