We offer a full-range of solutions from training analysis to training devices to comprehensive training centers to ensure efficient operations and mission readiness.

Boeing provides comprehensive C-17 Globemaster III training solutions for aircrews and loadmasters with advanced simulation, courseware and computer-based training.

C-17 operators can practice the complete range of tasks required for tactical military airlift operations and humanitarian missions, along with rehearsal of other scenarios such as aerial refueling and emergency procedures.


Under the Globemaster III Integrated Sustainment Programme (GISP), Boeing is responsible for all C-17 sustainment activities for the RAF's fleet of eight, including material management and depot maintenance based alongside their military counterparts.

The UK arm of Boeing's training services was established to enhance the delivery of integrated, platform-based military capability to support our customers' operational requirements.

The UK C-17 International Training Centre (ITC) in Farnborough, provides both aircrew and maintainer training to a wide range of international operators of the C-17 platform.


We have an opportunity as a
C-17 Maintenance Training Instructor based at the C-17 International Training Centre in Farnborough, with some hybrid working options.


Responsibilities:


  • Development, delivery and evaluation of technical training to C17 Technicians for a variety of International Customers.
  • Conducts analyses to evaluate customer technical training needs to determine appropriate training content, objectives and design.
  • Establishes processes for identifying training content and evaluating training effectiveness. Uses specialised software technology to research, configure, maintain, update and develop new and existing media and materials.
  • Gathers data to support complete proposal development activities.
  • Ensures accuracy and quality of training products.
  • Coaches and develops others.
  • Provide training services that meet the highest technical and quality standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies and processes and embrace firsttime quality as a way of life not accepting, creating or passing any defects and speaking up
  • Identifying and correcting conditions and behaviors that affect employee, public, and customer safety; upholding safety standards; demonstrating proactive safety culture leadership.
  • Discovers new opportunities and solutions for problems by looking beyond current practices and using innovative thinking. Tries different and novel ways to deal with work problems and opportunities.

Some of the following experience would be desirable:

  • Experienced aircraft engineer
  • C17 Globemaster III engineering experience
  • Previous instructional experience within military or civilian aircraft engineering training (DSAT or Part 147) environment
  • Previous experience as C17 Maintenance Instructor
  • Management experience
  • Instructional Techniques course
  • Knowledge of various engineering disciplines such as avionics, mechanical, and systems
  • The ability to communicate with technical personnel from multiple skill areas, cultures and functions
  • Skill and ability to: collect, organise and analyze data; summarise findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources

Security Clearance:
This position requires the ability to obtain a UK security Clearance.
