Risk & Assurance Business Partner


Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday


Salary:
£34,920-£43,649 per annum (salary offered dependent on experience)


Contract:
Permanent


You'll be joining the Governance & Assurance Team at an exciting time, as we are expanding, to support the effective operation of our risk & assurance arrangements.

You will be helping to embed a culture of risk management effective governance throughout Moat.


We support agile working, so you'll be provided all IT equipment to work flexibly between your home and at our Dartford office.

Your key tasks will include:


  • Working alongside risk owners and services to keep risks upto date and ensure they are managed.
  • Facilitating service discussions around risk, keeping risk 'on the agenda'.
  • Supporting delivery of training and production of key policies and guidance.
  • Working with the Risk & Assurance Manager to understand and report on internal and external risk changes and deliver insights from the wider environment.
  • Maintaining and analysing of risk and control data to support reporting to senior management and Board/Audit and Risk Committee, including but not limited to Board assurance map.
  • Facilitating the introduction of a more robust approach to risk management to replace or enhance existing spreadsheetbased arrangements.
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with Moat services and the wider risk community, to ensure delivery of effective risk processes.
  • Supporting the Risk & Assurance manager in the development of reports and provision of analysis to stakeholders, including Board and Committees.
  • Undertaking specific project work that requires risk and assurance input, as per business requirements.
  • Tracking and understanding assurances across Moat, drawing together key information for reporting to senior management, Audit and Risk Committee and Board.
  • Supporting completion of senior leadership team assurance statements.
  • Leading on risk and assurance quality improvement actions as agreed with the Risk and Assurance Manager.
  • Undertaking an agreed programme of 2nd line assurance reviews across Moat.
  • Supporting delivery of the internal audit contract, including liaising with internal audit and with services and communicating key information to ensure the effective delivery of the audit plan.
  • Leading on the coordination of follow up of internal audit actions, and support reporting of progress.
  • Supporting internal audit and services in the delivery of the audit plan.

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Understanding of risks, preferably within a social housing environment.
  • Excellent communication and relationship skills, with ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments, both internal and external.
  • Professional curiosity and the ability to review control environments and processes.
  • Experience of delivering successful service improvement plans.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deliver quality outputs.
  • Data analysis & report writing, including use of MS Office.
