    Zarafa Group have been providing engineered solutions for facade access and working at height safely for over 40 years. The group specialises in suspended access and fall protection services to high rise buildings and structures across the UK.

    We have an opportunity for a Graduate Design Engineer to join the team based in Grantham, Lincolnshire. The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary.

    In this role you will be working with our Fall Protection department together with the on-site technicians to develop and maintain height safety and access solutions for the UK skyline.

    Whilst based in the design office our engineers also on occasion work on site as well as in our own manufacturing facility and the facilities of our suppliers.

    Your duties and key responsibilities:
    Designing layouts for fall protection installations.
    Verifying structural integrity of designed components.

    Assisting in planning permanent fall protection installations (in the form of drawings, technical data, etc.) in line with current British Standards and regulations.

    Develop and maintain compliant inspection regimes for existing and new installations.
    Liaising with suppliers, manufacturers and customers when necessary.
    Assisting during site surveys on occasions.
    Preparing detailed technical reports in line with requirements from current British Standards
    Maintaining and updating existing library of 2D drawings/technical data.
    Liaising with architects and design/project managers and providing them with necessary information.
    You will take control of individual projects and see them through to completion through the design process.
    You will ideally have the following skills and experience:
    Qualification requirements
    HND Level or higher in structural or mechanical engineering (or similar)
    Knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD tools (AutoCAD LT and SolidWorks preferred)
    Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
    Knowledge of materials and their properties and consider this within designs
    An enthusiasm for a technical challenge.
    Candidates must be able to evidence their right to work in the UK.
