    Aligned with our safety culture, our Engineering Managers prioritise the safety of our people maintaining a safe working environment compliant with JM's operating procedures.

    Drive results through aligning the team with business strategy and goals, establishing clear standards of engineering excellence, and setting clear direction and accountabilities through performance management whilst providing balanced feedback at the most critical times to maintain momentum and a strong sense of ownership.

    Conduct workforce planning over short term and long-term time horizons to effectively manage resource within the team.
    Succession plan for key roles and manage talent to achieve their full potential e.g. through our Engineering Development programs.

    Proactively develop individuals and teams, identify training needs and enable team members access to relevant training through the Engineering Academy or other sources.

    Recruit and develop teams of permanent and contingent engineering talent.

    Build a high performing, agile team which is seen as a talent engine where people gain career and personal development opportunities and experience.

    Monitor and assess the training requirements of new starters and current engineering teams. Developing training programs to address training needs.

    Identify training themes to address and initiate the preparation and presentation of courses with the objective of building a library of training material (recorded presentation, how-to guides, interactive training tools, etc.) that support the engineering function.

    Engineering Ways of Working
    Identify improvements to Engineering tools and methodologies, implementing improvement programs as required.
    Approve engineering documentation as required.
    Degree in Chemical Engineering, or equivalent.
    Passion for developing engineering talent.
    Understanding of technology development, engineering and licencing.
    Innovative approach to engineering execution.
