    Requirements for the Ward Manager (RMN/Mental Health Nurse) role

    You must have a Registered Nurse Qualification (RMN /Mental Health Nurse)

    Experience as a Ward Manager or a similar position

    Valid NMC Pin

    Clear DBS


    About the Mental Health Hospital:
    Our client provides Mental Health and Rehabilitation services to Adults.

    The role of a Ward Manager (RMN/Mental Health Nurse) within the Mental Health Hospital involves:

    Managing the ward and resources effectively

    Ensuring that appropriate staffing levels and skill mix of nursing experience is in place, including effective rota management, annual leave and training arrangements

    Ensuring that all members of the nursing team receive clinical supervision, appraisal, and mandatory training

    Acting as a role model and mentor to junior members of staff

    Taking appropriate action to ensure that the standard of care that patients receive is of the highest standard

    Ensuring that all patients have clear and current care plans, that reflect their personalised needs

    Actively lead on the recruitment and retention of staff of the ward and hospital

    Developing strong and effective working relationships will all clinical and non-clinical colleagues


    Ensuring that the legislative frameworks regarding the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberties is applied in accordance with Company Policy, and National Requirements.

    Ensuring that clinical communication, records, handovers, reports and other patient related information is conveyed and recorded promptly and accurately
