    Description
    We are currently supporting a local government organisation with their recruitment for a Marketing and Communications Lead. The role will involve a hybrid working approach.

    Key responsibilities will include:

    • Conceptualising, developing and executing creative, multi-channel, and cost-effective marketing and communications campaigns for specified events using a mix of paid social, outdoor and PR;
    • Providing PR and limited marketing support to help promote various commercial and community led events;
    • Writing clear, concise and creative, design and photography briefs to enable delivery of above campaigns;
    • Writing high quality editorial content and media releases suitable for a variety of audiences;
    • Working closely with Event Managers ensure a high-quality event branding and dressing presentation / look across event sites;
    • Producing event evaluation and impact presentations for certain events;
    • Supporting content delivery for weekly email, and social media channels;
    • Monitoring and overseeing campaign marketing budgets.

    The ideal candidate will have:

    • Chartered Institute of Marketing/Digital Diploma or other recognised and relevant qualification;
    • Experience of marketing and communications in a consumer facing commercial environment preferably in the live entertainment, ticketing or creative industries;
    • Minimum of 3 years' experience with a strong track record in creating commercially focused campaigns that regularly achieve and exceed targets to deliver desired outcomes;
    • The ability to write high quality editorial content suitable for a variety of audiences;
    • Experience of managing budgets, external freelancers and agencies, including writing clear, concise and creative, design and photography briefs;
    • Proficient in the use of social media, website content management systems (eg Canto) and in managing and manipulating data;
    • Proficient in English with excellent creative copy writing, use of grammar and proof reading skills with an eye for detail;
    • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, able to build successful relationships across a range of colleagues, media, clients and commercial partners
