    Summer Receptionists - City lodgers – Edinburgh, Canonmills

    City lodgers specialises in Summer Lets and has an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic, friendly and motivated Receptionists. This position is well suited to individuals who are looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced workplace.

    Working shift pattern is 40 hours per week, 5 days on 2 days off, 8 hr shift per day. We have 6 positions to fill and two different contract lengths: <<10th June – 30th August 2024 or 10th June –6th September 2024.>>

    Responsibilities

    • To follow the service standards of the reception team, to ensure total guest satisfaction
    • Assisting guests on arrival/departure in a friendly manner following the check in/out procedures
    • To carry out the day-to-day general administration: answer the telephone, take messages and assisting with inquiries
    • Assist with any problems arising whilst on shift. Reporting guests comment and complaints to the Manager
    • To operate a handover system between each shift.
    • To ensure that the reception area is kept clean and tidy, and well stocked.
    • Act quickly and efficiently during emergency situations
    • To perform other hotel related operational tasks as assigned by management.

    Requirements

    The ideal candidate will have a positive, can-do attitude and must have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service within the hospitality industry. Experience in speaking languages would be a bonus.

    You will be required to work shift work which will include evening shifts (2:30pm -11pm) and most weekends.
