JOB PURPOSE
To provide an efficient and friendly service and helpdesk function for the Transport and Mobility Team.

Helping to maintain and create content for the Transport and Mobility website, ensuring it's kept up to date with the latest information and guidance.

Providing administrative support for the department with a focus on travel and mobility assistance and traffic matters across campus.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Give directions and provide up to date information on alternative modes of mobility and information on road works, public transport and other transport related matters through the website and associated news feeds.
  • To liaise with the Traffic Operations Officers, providing logístical support where needed to ensure they are kept up to date with operational changes or requirements.
  • Gather feedback from all stakeholders of impacts and changes (departments, students, staff, those with accessibility requirements, drivers, bus users, cyclists etc.) to support the changes on campus and generate reports based on the data.
  • Work with the communications department to distribute messages, ensuring that those impacted or interested in mobility schemes are fully bought into changes, understanding of the impacts and what it may mean to them, and be aware of changes, alternatives available to them and the reasons why.
  • Help create maps, images, posters, and other materials to support sustainable and active travel promotions for print to support all aspects of transport, parking, and wayfinding around campus. Support the creation and management of content for the Transport and Mobility website, using sitebuilder and other various website editing tools.
  • Create reports based on transport data from different modes using Microsoft Excel or PowerPoint that will be shared internally and externally.
  • Participate in organised events and engage members of the university community to encourage sustainable and active travel
  • Processing driving licence checks (new requests & annual renewals) for University staff & students who require to use a University vehicle to ensure they hold a valid licence and meet the University vehicle use policy.
