    Salary:
    £30,000 - £50,000 plus package DOE


    Objective:


    The primary goal of this role is to provide specialised coaching, advice, and training to support the delivery team in achieving regulatory compliance, fostering continuous improvement, and cultivating a top-tier culture of health, safety, and environmental performance.

    This position plays a pivotal role in driving the company's strategy, emphasizing responsibility and accountability among line managers and staff, particularly focusing on behavioral safety and sustainability.


    Responsibilities:
    Support projects in executing our client's Health, Safety, and Environmental strategy.

    Offer expert guidance on Health, Safety, and Environmental matters during tender and contract award processes.

    Serve as the primary contact for Health & Safety issues, ensuring effective implementation of Construction Phase Plans.

    Provide direction on environmental sustainability initiatives to meet targets and promote net-zero objectives.

    Conduct thorough accident/incident investigations, identifying root causes and disseminating lessons learned.

    Advocate for Health, Safety, and Environmental best practices throughout design and construction phases.

    Engage in behavior-based coaching to foster a safety-first culture and contribute to Formal Process Safety Assessments.

    Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with industry stakeholders to facilitate shared learning and best practices.

    Foster positive relationships with local stakeholders and regulatory bodies.

    Provide expert advice on CDM regulations, particularly for gas projects.

    Support project representatives in understanding and fulfilling their SHE roles and responsibilities.

    Review contractor documentation, participate in safety meetings, audits, and inspections.

    Conduct independent H&S audits for project portfolios.

    Oversee CDM Risk Registers and temporary works inspections, ensuring appropriate controls are in place.

    Assist in assessing contractor competence and identifying training needs.

    Deliver monthly H&S data and safety statistics to line management.

    Foster internal relationships to address issues and explore collaborative opportunities.


    Qualifications:
    Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to coach and motivate.

    Strong communication and influencing abilities across all organizational levels.

    Proven track record in recommending preventive actions and spearheading new initiatives.

    Proficiency in developing and delivering effective training materials.

    Proficient in auditing and root cause analysis methodologies.

    Ability to identify resistance patterns and implement effective problem-solving strategies.

    Comprehensive understanding of CDM Regulations, particularly Client, Principal Designer & Principal Contractor roles.

    Essential Qualifications (Copies will need to be emailed):

    • NEBOSH Certificate coupled with extensive relevant construction SHE & Gas industry experience.
    • Proficiency in Environmental management requirements.
    • Possession of a current full UK driving license.
    • EUSR Cross Country Pipelines / SHEA Gas certification
