    Job Title: ARC Rapid Response Worker
    Location: Welwyn Garden City
    Starting Salary: £29,269 with the opportunity to progress to £32,076 per annum PLUS 6% additional payment.
    Hours: 37 hours per week
    Contract: Permanent

    We are seeking TWO dynamic individuals with the ability to "think on their feet", manage risk and deliver creative interventions to come and join us in our Rapid Response part of ARC Therapeutic Children Services.

    Part funded by the NHS we aim to ensure that families receive appropriate, joined up and timely interventions, when they need it most and as such you will need to be flexible and work on a rota system, covering some unsociable hours, weekends, evenings and bank holidays, as well as some regular office-based hours. Shift hours include 4:30pm – midnight, 9:30am – 5pm and occasional mid shifts to cover activities etc.

    No two days are the same; they can range from supportive phone calls to families, working alongside the police to deescalate a situation, supporting a young person home from hospital, to running group activities for the young people including geocaching, bike rides, festive events, sporting activities, arts and crafts.

    Our team is diverse, with a rich range of experiences and specialisms, along with a passion for supporting families at risk of breakdown.

    Key essentials for the role:

  • Experience of working with children and/or families
  • Trauma informed outlook
  • Full UK manual driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Ability to record concise detailed reports
  • Experience in competently using Microsoft packages
  • Good IT skills as this post requires use of different IT systems
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
