    Rest Less is a social impact start-up that helps and inspires a generation of over 50s to get more out of life. There are 20m individuals aged between 50 and 70 in the UK and this population is set to boom over the next decade.

      About the role

      We want you to teach us everything there is to know about front-end As the leader of the front-end team you'll be mentoring, guiding and setting the vision for the three engineers in your team. You'll also be getting your hands dirty as an individual contributor and collaborating with the lead platform engineers and CTO to bring an holistic, pragmatic, and business focused approach to both mobile and web technology solutions.

      Responsibilities

    6. Advocating for the front-end architecture and vision, and setting a roadmap and execution plan to deliver that vision.
    7. Effectively balancing leadership and individual contributor responsibilities
    8. Managing, guiding and mentoring a small team of capable senior engineers
    9. Ensure we're building highly reusable codebase
    10. Ensuring the quality of the codebase, front-end performance and accessibility
    11. Work closely with the senior engineering team, product and marketing functions to ensure we're building awesome, business impacting, rich, scalable and secure product lines, products and features
    12. Maintaining and developing the DevOps practice mindset and culture

      Skills

    13. Expert knowledge of Javascript frameworks and libraries, HTML and CSS
    14. Experience of React Native and the mobile development ecosystem
    15. Strong automation and CI/CD experience
    16. Experience of deploying web applications in cloud environments such as Amazon Web Services - ELB, Cloudwatch, RDS
    17. Service-oriented architecture management and integrations
    18. Operating in a fast-paced agile environment
    19. A demonstrable eye for good user interface design and user experience
    20. Experience using metrics and key indicators as primary benchmarks to produce theories, measuring existing processes and proving improvements at both system and business levels
