The Changing Together & Ways of Working team sits within the Portfolio Management directorate in the Group Chief Operating Office (GCOO) with accountability for the change operating model, change method, QBR system and strategic improvements to support embedding and maturity of the Platform Operating Model.

  • About The Role


We have an exciting opportunity for a new position of QBR Lead, driving efficient alignment of the Group's strategy with the integrated business plans and Objectives & Key Results (OKR's) across our Platform and Enterprise enabling teams.


  • The QBR is an integrated system to ensure prioritisation and strategic alignment across our platforms and plays a crucial role in delivering the strategy. As the QBR System Lead, you will report into the Changing Together & Ways of Working Director with accountability for the running of the E2E QBR system with a real focus on embedding and enhancing the system.
  • You'll have the exciting responsibility of working with senior leaders across the Group including Platform Leaders, CIO's, CFO and Investment Management, to orchestrate the quarterly activity. The role will be a key contributor in creating strategic alignment of our GEC priorities and investment envelopes set through robust dependency management and acceleration of decision making for cross Business Unit prioritisation.
  • We're looking for an inspiring and commercially minded leader who understand the investment and change process and importance of aligning our group strategy and creation of a Golden thread down to value being delivered within our teams. The individual will ideally have extensive Change or Business Architecture experience to assist the technical interlock discussions or agile transformational experience. Hands on QBR experience is an added benefit.

  • Key accountabilities include:
  • E2E accountability for executing a multi-billion pound quarterly business review-
  • Ongoing evolvement and automation of the Quarterly Business Review process to simplify and improve our performance and strategic prioritisation.-
  • Driving strategic alignment of the golden thread from Group Strategy through to team level.-
  • Working with our Platform Leaders, enabling teams and supporting functions to create a rolling 18 month portfolio plan.-
  • Interrogating dependency data each cycle to identify opportunities to reduce inbound and outbound demand to drive better platform autonomy.-
  • Provide recommendations for operating model enhancements and sequencing of initiatives in our platform maturity roadmap through data insight to evidence how we can best unlock customer outcomes

What we're looking for:

  • Experience in Agile methodology and scaling.
  • Demonstration of strong leadership and communication skills at all levels, with a trusted ability to bring business and technology together.
  • Strong understanding of investment process and importance of OKR alignment to investment and value being delivered
  • Strong facilitation skills to manage many platform discussions with leaders with differing priorities requiring interlock.
  • Dependency and benefit management experience to allow creation of a portfolio view each cycle.
  • Ability to demonstrate working with technical and crossfunctional teams Experience in participating in or running a QBR or similar transformational change
