The Xenia Group are a fast growing organisation consisting of multiple businesses; Xenia Estates, Xenia Lettings and Xenia Students.

Operating throughout the UK, we specialise in Property, Building and Asset Management, Residential and Student Lettings as well as Lettings Management.


We are looking for a full time Maintenance Supervisor to join the existing team in Glasgow and help out with the general day to day maintenance and upkeep of our 3 student accommodation buildings in Glasgow city center.

A proactive and positive attitude is essential and the ability to communicate clearly with both the onsite staff and the team in Head Office, Manchester, is crucial.


Duties include but are not limited to;

  • To work alongside the lettings and maintenance staff to attend to maintenance issues that arise in rooms and communal areas. This may involve minor plumbing, carpentry as well as minor electrical works.
  • Liaise with contractors to carry out servicing and major repairs to building equipment
  • To diagnose issues, rectify and report back to the Accommodation Manager should parts be required taking ownership of issues and seeing through to completion
  • To be a support for the lettings and housekeeping team during busy periods
  • To assist with PPM schedules ensuring compliance and accurate records are maintained, undertaking routine tests and visits in your associated building reporting back to the Accommodation Manager or head office property management team should any defects be identified
  • To assist with the upkeep, presentation and management of the buildings alongside the housekeeping and accommodation team liaising with the various internal departments as and when required
  • To work with the head office property management team to ensure value for money is achieved with the procurement of all works and materials in line with the sites budget
  • Produce a high standard of reports as required ensuring all the required information is delivered in a timely manner, is accurate and in the required format
  • Appreciate and understand the flexibility required when business levels peak and trough and deliver the best possible service. Due to the nature of the role, it may on occasions be necessary to work unsociable hours, including weekends, especially during the student arrivals and departure periods
  • Ensure that contractors are prepared for the works with suitable Method Statements and Risk Assessments as necessary maintaining accurate records of visits reporting back as and when necessary to the property manager or senior management
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service to the building residents and any other guests
  • Provide an emergency out of hours call out service
  • Ensure all the relevant Health and Safety regime and regulations are complied with
  • Responsible to ensure the buildings are a safe environment at all times, assisting with and complying with risk assessments and safe working practices.
  • Any other tasks deemed necessary
  • To promote and contribute to the company culture.
  • To travel between sites (all Glasgow City Centre based) and to attend occasional meetings nationwide as required.

Desirable but not Essential Qualifications:


  • Trade Qualifications and Training such as electrical safety training etc.
  • A commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
  • Legionella Awareness
  • IOSHH
