    Description

    V7 is currently seeking a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager for our esteemed client, a leading Fire Suppression company in the North West region. Candidates must be situated within a 90-minute commute of Manchester.

    We are looking for someone with experience Project Managing large industrial Fire Suppression projects valued over £1 million. Candidates with limited design experience will also be considered.

    Package:

    • Competitive salary ranging from £45,000 to £80,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
    • Annual bonus of 10%
    • 25 days of annual leave (with an option to increase to 30) plus bank holidays

    Responsibilities:

    • Technical Expertise: Design and perform hydraulic calculations for water-based fire suppression systems, such as Sprinklers, Deluge systems, and Hydrants.
    • Collaboration: Manage day-to-day design challenges with various stakeholders, including colleagues, clients, M&E design teams, Fire Consultants, Installers, Fabricators, Local Fire and Water authorities, and Fire Insurers.
    • On-Site Engagement: Collaborate on-site with client design teams.
    • Project Oversight: Oversee all aspects of projects, including labour management, procurement, site inspections, client and consultant communication, H&S, and all project-related matters from sale to completion and handover.

    Requirements:

    • Regulatory Knowledge: Proficient in LPC Rules, encompassing BS EN 12845, NFPA, and FM Global standards.
    • Experience: Over 5 years of experience in a similar role involving designing, estimation, or project management is desired, yet not essential
    • Qualifications: Hold LPCB Basic qualification and FHC Qualification. These are desired, yet not essential, candidates without design experience will be considered.
    • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, general IT skills, and AutoCAD for producing 2D layouts.
    • Hydraulic Expertise: Able to generate computerized hydraulic calculations and associated layout drawings.
