We have the exciting opportunity to recruit for a project manager with construction experience within an established and innovative company.

Duties and Responsibilities for Project Manager:

  • Delivery of projects on time and to forecasted budget with early reporting of any impacts to each month's forecasts
  • Manage hours, materials and install teams to ensure a Gross Margin of 38% can be achieved on a projectbyproject basis
  • Effective and robust commercial management, monitoring and forecasting across projects
  • Drive project execution; track delivery; expect, monitor, control change, own change management; proactively seek and resolve blockers
  • Managing procurement in line with project timelines, ensuring all projects are delivered on time within scope and budget
  • Develop project specifications, agree project plan baseline including scope, key activities, deliverables, resource requirements, milestones, and deadlines
  • Building and maintaining close relationships with Clients
  • Completion of all snags within the relevant timeframes. Minor snags within 7 days and major snags in 21 days unless material supply issues. Snag delays to be raised and identified with the Customer
  • Ensure project plans, risk and method statements and waste management plans are prepared and submitted in good time to ensure program flow
  • Undertake full training on all surveying requirements with knowledge of each products manufacture, installation, and product use with quarterly refreshers and/or updates for new products
  • Ensure detailed site records are complete
  • Record information accurately and consistently using appropriate systems and provide and communicate timely information to relevant parties
  • Take a flexible approach to task boundaries where appropriate
  • Conduct reviews to assess project outcomes and to identify and capture lessons learned to enable continuous improvement. Contribute to the provision of documentation for new or improved processes, products and services and to ensure that good practice isdisseminated throughout the organisation
  • Conduct progress reviews to give stakeholders confidence that projects will deliver to time, budget and agreed standards
  • Manage projects within agreed governance structures and processes, to ensure consistency of approach and efficient use of resources and to ensure a gross margin of 40% can be achieved on a projectbyproject basis
  • Seek stakeholder insight and feed it into improved processes while ensuring compliance with governance and standards
  • Manage relationships amongst stakeholders by building confidence and trust with clear professional communications and assured expectation management
  • Ensure team members are informed, have clear goals, and work collaboratively and in partnership with clients and other stakeholders to achieve planned outcomes
  • Update management biweekly project progress
  • Close liaison in tendering as required with the Estimators
  • Lead by example setting the highest standards for all site fitting teams.
  • Ensure compliance with latest HSE standards, implementing company procedures.
  • Ensure all sites have the latest and most current safety information
  • Carry out monthly returns and reports, Toolbox talks, safety briefings and identify training requirements
  • Develop relationships with all other Flood related issues
  • Ensure compliance is met on material and waste transfers

Skills and Requirements for Project Manager:

  • Substantial experience within the construction and new build sector.
  • Successful track history within managing projects.
  • Excellent communication skills through all channels and at all levels.
  • Enthusiastic, organised, ability to work under pressure and remain calm.
This role is national and requires travelling. Overnight accommodation is provided with company car is provided. Contracted hours are 8:30-4:30pm flexibility around this is required due to travel with the role.
