Parish Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer – West & East Putford

West & East Putford Parish Council is a small rural parish situated in North Devon and is looking to appoint a part-time Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer.

Hours are flexible, around 10 to 12 per month. Salary will be on the Local Council scale LC , currently £13.97 to £14.95 per hour, depending on experience.

We are looking for an organised person who can work independently, mainly from home, and attend council meetings in Bradworthy Village Hall, normally once every two months.

The role requires:

• Relevant skills for agenda setting and recording of minutes

• Good administration and communication skills

• Accurate record keeping

• Computer literacy including proficiency in Word and Excel

• Preparation and monitoring of budgets and managing the Council's assets and finances

• Previous experience of working for a parish council or local authority would be an advantage although training is available if required
