The CNSs will workalongside Consultant Urologists in supporting patients referred to the Trustwith both benign and suspected cancers on different pathways. Through theprinciples of the Best Practice Prostate Pathway, it is anticipated thaturology patients on these pathways will have an improved waiting time todiagnosis with a positive patient experience. The CNS will also work along siteConsultants and support the Urology cancer and benign services.
The post holderswill work closely with the Consultant Urologists in delivering pathways forbenign service and suspected urological cancers. The CNS willdevelop to work effectively as an autonomous practitioner and as a core memberof the multi-disciplinary team within Urology to provide the highest possiblestandards of care for patients with urological disease.
