    Job Title: Head of Curriculum and Compliance

    Reports to: Managing Director

    Location: Tonbridge

    Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum (depending on experience)

    Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

    Job Purpose:

    As the Head of Curriculum and Compliance, your primary responsibility is to ensure the highest standards of training excellence, program effectiveness, and customer service standards across the organization. You will develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive quality assurance and improvement framework for all aspects of information, advice, and guidance (IAG), teaching and learning, assessment, and staff continuous professional development. By continuously evaluating, improving the curriculum, and collaborating with internal teams, you will optimize learning outcomes, learner satisfaction, and the achievement of business goals and objectives. Additionally, you will oversee compliance and safeguarding functions within the organization.

    Main Responsibilities & Duties:

    · Oversee and maintain the strategic management of the Self-Assessment Report (SAR) and Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).

    · Analyze data related to quality assurance and improvement in collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team to drive continuous improvement.

    · Line manage the Quality Manager and oversee all External Quality Assurance (EQA) activities.

    · Coordinate comprehensive observations of teaching, learning, and assessment programs internally and with subcontract partners.

    · Deliver continued professional development sessions to enhance the quality of teaching, learning, and assessment.

    · Coordinate strategies to enhance staff wellbeing in collaboration with the HR department.

    · Manage the lead Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) to coordinate all EQA activities.

    · Coordinate the Education and Training programs, including monitoring all internal apprentices.

    · Support the continuous improvement of digital skills in teaching, learning, and assessment practices.

    · Report to the Senior Leadership Team and Governors on the quality of teaching, learning, and assessment.

    · Monitor external practices from various sources and implement improvements based on findings.

    · Support senior managers in business development and achieving growth targets.

    · Coordinate the creation of comprehensive program and department level self-assessment and quality improvement plans.

    · Prepare monthly quality and performance reports and attend management meetings.

    · Ensure compliance with organizational policies and current legislation.

    · Manage relationships with awarding organizations to maintain center and scheme approval.

    · Collaborate with HR to develop CPD and staff wellbeing plans.

    · Provide support to staff on an individual and small group basis for skills development.

    · Undertake work scrutiny audits to contribute to ISO9001 compliance.

    Essential/Desirable Criteria:

    · Strong understanding of the Further Education (FE) and training sector.

    · In-depth knowledge of educational theories, pedagogical principles, and curriculum development methodologies.

    · Familiarity with accreditation standards, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance processes in adult education.

    · Ability to lead curriculum development teams and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

    · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and online teaching platforms.

    · Experience working with employers and awareness of Ofsted inspections.

    · Minimum Level 3 teaching qualification (PTLLS/AET).

    · Level 5 or above subject specialism.

    · Level 3 CAVA and Level 4 IQA or equivalent.

    · GCSE in English Language and Maths.

    · Level 2 IT Qualification.

    Desirable:

    · Level 7 Learning and Development or Leadership and Management qualification.

    · Level 5 teaching, learning, and assessment qualifications.

    · First Aid at Work certificate.

    · IOSH Health and Safety qualification.

    · Lead IQA qualification.

    Miscellaneous:

    · Excellent communication skills and effective interpersonal skills.

    · Target-driven with a commitment to continuous professional development.

    · Willingness to travel to other Runway Training offices and employer premises as required.

    · Ability to work to deadlines and maintain a calm, supportive, and caring demeanor.
