Linq Healthcare have partnered with a forward-thinking and ambitious social justice charity, who are looking for a Non-Medical Prescriber to join them at their Wokingham site. This is commutable from Reading, Slough, and Woking.

The role:


  • Provide a clinical service to alcohol and drug users consistent to their needs including evidence based nonmedical prescribing service.
  • Ensure that procedures are constantly reviewed to promote best practice and evidenced based practice in accordance with UK Guidelines on Clinical Management, NICE guidance, NMC guidance and the service's clinical protocols and procedures.
  • To ensure the services provides a good quality working environment.
  • Support the Clinical lead to manage and control medical supply budgets in line with Cranstoun's financial regulations and policies.
  • Ensuring that the agreed quality and regulatory objectives are met by prioritising, planning and organising own workload.
  • Carry out day to day tasks in accordance with stated policies, procedures and regulations to assist the service achieve its compliance obligations, including CQC.

Requirements:


  • RMN/RGN Qualification
  • Demonstrable experience of post registration
  • Demonstrable experience and knowledge working with substance misuse
  • Has a supplementary/independent nonmedical prescribing qualification
  • A commitment to working with drug and alcohol users
  • A commitment to providing high quality services to drug and alcohol users
  • Ability to manage own workload
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • The post holder will possess teamworking skills and have the ability to motivate and support others and work using own initiative.
  • Good interpersonal, oral and written skills
  • An ability to establish and maintain clear boundaries with clients and staff
  • To have an understanding of, and an ability to promote and implement equal opportunity policies in all areas of work
  • Advocacy, liaison and referral skills
