    About The Role

    Working as part of a growing ESG and Procurement team, this role requires you to oversee Workman's energy and water procurement strategy on behalf of our Clients.

    You will manage a team of Energy and Water Procurement Consultants, monitoring their performance against Workman's KPI's and strategic framework. You will be required to ensure schedules of all energy and water supplies under the Firm's management contracts are maintained and delivered.

    You will liaise and provide support on all energy and water related issues across the Property Management and Client Leadership teams. Where necessary, you will provide direct input and engagement with suppliers to ensure they understand and collaborate with Workman's business model and resolving any supplier issues efficiently when required.

    In addition, you will support and assist with projects to help streamline invoicing procedures and to work alongside the Property Accounts teams to assist with the receipt and payment of invoices into the chosen platform.

    What Matters Most In This Role

    Building and maintaining close professional relationships with clients, tenants and colleagues is paramount to your success. You will deliver effective communication between Accounts Payable, Procurement Consultants and Suppliers and bridge the relationship between all parties, to ensure minimal debt is incurred.

    Proactiveness and going above and beyond is expected.

    You will be comfortable working with a number of consultants, across the business rather than just one Bureau provider, ensuring portfolios are actively managed to meet Clients strategies and requirements.

    You will have the ability to deliver bespoke reports and processes, delivering accurate data to clients. You will be required to present results in regular client meetings, therefore, commercial acumen and professionalism to fundamental.

    Other duties will include:

    • Implement effective training for staff on utilities procurement, COT processes and bill validation remit and reporting requirements, tailored to each client
    • Provide updates on changes in energy and water regulations making the necessary recommendations to deliver best practice.
    • Connect with Property Managers and Property Administrators continually with regards to site specific procurement and reporting topics
    • Provide an escalation point for Workman teams or energy consultants on complex COT, debt or other billing issues where support is required to resolve queries

    What We Expect From You

    Previous experience in the Energy industry is essential. You will have experience managing a diverse client portfolio, ideally with a similar property consultancy.

    Excellent verbal and written communication, plus experience handling analytical data is crucial to this role. You will also have the confidence to present reports to clients and internal teams.

    In addition, you will have the commercial expertise and ability to challenge and negotiate KPI's and measurables with clients and client leadership teams.

    Accurate attention to detail is required, especially when delivering reports and interpreting figures and calculations.

    You will have experience using all Microsoft programmes, in particular Excel.

    You will be self-motivated and have experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, delivering results within deadlines.

    Some UK travel to our other regional offices is required. Travel expenses will be covered.
