Monday to Friday - On site preferred however Hybrid could be available

Our client is seeking a Senior Development Project Manager to lead part of our growing team in delivering a major development contract.

As well as delivering your own projects, you will assist the team with any potential red flags in their projects, guidingthem with an experienced hand and helping them benefit from your experience of having delivered many similar projects over the past few years.


Duties of the Roles

  • Shortlisting sites suitable for development, using inhouse grid capacity calculator and mapping processes
  • Liaising with landowners and working through Term Sheets and Option / Lease Agreements with them
  • Managing relationships with external stakeholders
  • Managing and reporting on project budgets and timescales both internally and to clients; identifying risks and delivering mitigation strategies
  • Participation in portfoliolevel reviews and decisionmaking related to delivering development service agreements KPIs

  • Able to work in the UK without sponsorship
  • A very strong understanding of the UK development requirements for solar and battery energy storage projects ranging between 1MW and 300MW+, including intricate knowledge of the various regional variations and deviations in permitting and grid processes
  • Degree educated (or equivalent), with at least 5 years' demonstrable renewables development experience at utilityscale in the UK
  • A keen understanding of the technical and design elements of solar and energy storage systems and the ability to negotiate grid connections
  • Experience in working with landowners on site agreements as well as wayleaves and easements, possessing an excellent, personable manner
  • Formally trained in project management methods
  • Able to confidently engage with local stakeholders and media
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and consultants simultaneously
  • Competency with MS Project/ Gantt charts
  • Calm under pressure while retaining the ability to make professional decisions
  • Familiarity with transmission system grid connections
  • Use of GIS systems
  • Well networked within the sector
  • Experience in portfolio management.
