- Experience in technical assessing or the desire to move into this field.
- A software engineering / Aviation background.
- Strong communication skills have enabled you to construct and convey logical arguments effectively
- Analytical skills to analyse pragmatically and effectively.
- Demonstrable experience delivering results against tight timeframes
- Pragmatism in the judgement of software integrity and the determination of an adequate level of evidence.
- Safety Critical software coding (Ada, Misra or C/C++)
- Safety standards and compliance at various levels of integrity and design assurance (SIL/DAL)
- Verification and assurance processes and formal analysis methods
- Reviewing and assessing process and delivery documentation against standards (e.g. DO 178)
- The ability to navigate large complex sets of documents
- Complex Electronic Hardware (CEH)
- Salary, depending on experience: from £45,000 - £80,000

Job Description
Supporting Software delivery across multiple projects in the Defence and Aerospace sector, you will be part of a team that provides an Independent Technical Assessment of the software of safety-critical and safety-related aircraft systems. You will provide advice and assurance on airworthiness issues related to those systems.
You will assess third-party software and/or software documentation for adequate safety and conformance to standards.
Within this diverse and technically challenging role, you will apply military and/or civil standards for software safety (including Def Stan 00-56, Def Stan 00-55, DO-178x) to provide accurate and trusted technical assurance to the wider team.
You would work hybrid, 2-3 days/week at the client site.
