    Overview of role

    Location: West Bromwich

    Salary: £23,840

    Shift Pattern: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday

    The role of a skilled Technician operating within the Hygiene team, you will be responsible for carrying out hygiene activities and procedures to achieve the required level of cleanliness of plant, equipment and infrastructure utilising. 40 Hours per week.

    Key Accountabilities

  • Identify ideas for improvements through the plant, quality of product or cost.
  • Actively engage in the Safety First culture and compliance with AB internal policies and procedures
  • Deliver as a member of the team optimal levels of Hygiene performance on cost, resource, schedule completion and levels of cleanliness by utilising continuous improvement tools and techniques
  • To deliver the required levels of factory hygiene through all systems available and others
  • To contribute to the optimization of a Hygiene plan, operating the hygiene activities in the most efficient and cost effective manner
  • To follow safety procedures as written by Allied Bakeries including Risk Assessments, SOP's and SSoW, wearing the correct PPE and following other specific safety instructions relevant to the task being undertaken.
  • To prepare plant and equipment for hygiene activities using SSOW and equipment lock off procedures to ensure activities are carried out in a safe manner. If needed to perform minor maintenance repairs, reporting major faults on the Mainsaver system (EAM).
  • To carry out visual Hygiene and Food Safety checks on all plant and equipment after cleaning, recording in line with procedures and acting on any problems accordingly with Manufacturing or Engineers.

    Essential

  • An in-depth understanding and application of the Hygiene SOP's
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Understanding of Continuous Improvement techniques
  • Knowledge of Hygiene methodologies and application of hygiene chemicals
  • Advantageous

  • To have previous manufacturing FMCG experience
  • Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate (CIEH Level 3)
  • Chemical Safety Level 02
