Milestone Infrastructure is currently looking to recruit a Senior Planner to support the tendering and delivery of civil engineering projects.

As the Senior Planner, you will be part of Milestone Infrastructure's Projects Sector team who are responsible for the delivery of a variety of civil engineering projects.


We are looking for a driven individual, ideally with a background in the delivery of civil engineering projects, to work with both pre-construction and project delivery teams across a variety of civil engineering projects and a broad range of customers.


Key responsibilities:

Tender stage

  • Prepare resourced tender programmes from tender documents with good knowledge of work activities, outputs and constraint identification.
  • Assess tender temporary works (including the traffic management phasing), and value engineering solutions.
  • Assess client constraints and requirements to ensure a compliant programme is submitted.
  • Present programme phasing and critical path analysis at tender sign offs and presentations.
Contract Stage

  • Develop tender programme into a fully compliant, logical contract programme based on securing the shortest timescales and costs for the project,
  • Monitor progress against contract programmes and present key programme issues at meetings,
  • Record and highlight changes to resources against the original programme,
  • Demonstrate changes to the programme resulting from variations and other client changes
  • Prepare revised programmes to completion as required

Skills & Knowledge Requirements

  • Experience of preparation of tender programme from first principles.
  • Proven organisational skills including planning and programming
  • Experience with NEC form of contracts
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to liaise and communicate effectively across a diverse range of project stakeholders
  • Proven ability to develop strong working relationships with the Client.
  • Experience in development and delivery of civil engineering projects
  • Detailed understanding of health and safety management and the requirements of CDM
  • Drivers Licence
