£ £12.35 paye per hour

£ £13.35 paye inclusive of holiday pay per hour

£ £14.35 umbrella per hour

All of the rates are depending on skill and experience


Working Days and Hours:
Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours


Job Purpose
This role will be responsible for external communications activities that have significant reputational impact our client.

Specifically, the postholder will focus on the development of communications/technological innovations that would raise the profile,such as high performing trust-wide websites, social media and other online platforms, and supporting reputation management.


Duties

  • To support the development of the Trust website / intranet and social / digital media promoting the use of the website / intranet as key channels for communication
  • Codesign and codevelop ecommunications innovations, specifically our websites in line with our digital vision
  • Continuously improve our social media presence and integrate into our ecommunications offer
  • Responsible for the delivery of assigned communications projects of high reputational worth to the organisation, leading on successful completion within the agreed timescales and budgetary constraints
  • Project management of key communications deliverables as set by the Communications Managers or Head of Communications, championing codesign methodology across all innovations.
  • Responsible for the organisation, delivery and smooth running of key engagement events to coordinate stakeholder and service user feedback
  • To support the communications department in the production of high quality corporate communications / materials to facilitate effective external communications activity
  • Share responsibility for communications support for enabling services with the Internal Communications Officer
  • To project manage and support the delivery of a wide range of digital communications focussed on key stakeholders and staff including corporate communications campaigns
  • To undertake evaluation and monitoring of projects and engagement activities, to support the Trust in shaping service developments and innovations
  • To network, build and maintain good relationships with internal and external stakeholders including clinical, nonclinical staff, executive members, commissioners and voluntary sector workers
  • To write content of significant reputational impact including for websites, magazines, news releases and project reports
  • Planning, costing, sourcing and delivering communications projects of high reputational impact
  • To project manage the development and delivery of key Divisional and corporate plans, innovations and communications plans
  • Maintenance and development of relevant databases, surveys and digital innovations advanced skills to design/produce presentations/print media
  • Liaise with design agencies/printers for creative/promotional materials ensuring the trust standards are maintained and any orders are within the procurement/finance guidelines.
  • Share responsibility with the internal communications officer for supporting the communications team on financial and administration duties
  • Providing advice to all services on issues relating to maintenance and correct use of LPT and NHS branding guidelines.

General responsibilities The post holder is required to:

  • Responsibility to commission and manage externally sourced design, print and photographic services, ensuring goods and services offer quality and value for money.
  • Promote and encourage collaborative working relationships with colleagues in partner organisations including other NHS organisations, local authorities, voluntary organisations and police. Respond helpfully to enquiries from patients and the public contactingthe communications department by providing advice and information.
  • Follow communications department policies, procedures and protocols and propose changes for the revision and updating of departmental policies strategies and procedures, including input into the development of Trustwide policies such as social media policy,communications and engagement strategies, branding guidelines and media policy.
  • Follow Trustwide policies, procedures and protocols.
  • Take every reasonable opportunity to maintain and improve their professional knowledge

Knowledge and Skills

  • Qualifications (Equivalent qualifications will be considered))
  • Educated to degree level or has equivalent experience in relevant discipline
  • Planning and implementing communications plans and campaigns including ecommunications
  • Knowledge of website/intranet content management systems and ability to manage website and social media content.
  • Ability to analyse and judge complex facts and information for inclusion in communications in a way that is appropriate to the audience
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills in order to work to strict deadlines, achieve objectives, coordinate and prioritise several tasks concurrently
  • High level of IT competency including Microsoft Office and design products
  • Negotiation with and commissioning from external agencies
  • Experience of working in an ecommunications role within the NHS or public sector (desirable)
  • Using different techniques/tools for communication with a variety of audiences including ecommunications
  • Experience of developing social media approaches
  • Experience of print and online publication processes
  • Managing and protecting house/organisation style and corporate identity/image
  • Advising noncommunications colleagues on communications
