    88 per hour (DOE)


    Durham University International Study Centre are looking for n experienced Law Tutor to deliver highly effective modules at both International Foundation Year (Pre-Undergraduate or Level 3 Equivalent) and Graduate Diploma (Pre Masters) level.

    The Law modules at the centre include; The English Legal System, Contract Law, Tort Law, and Extended Project at International Foundation Level, and Legal Institutions Skills and Methods, Contemporary Issues in Law, Fundamentals of Contract Law, and Extended Research at Graduate Diploma Level.

    Reporting to the Head of Law and Social Sciences.

    Durham University International Study Centre programmes cover the following subject areas:


    • Foundation: Humanities, Law and Social Sciences
    • Pre-Masters: Law and Social Science


    Delivering modules (face-to-face and occasionally online) to international students studying on programmes offered by the Centre and assisting with the continued development of modules.


    • Assisting with the development and maintenance of the Centre's virtual learning environment (VLE). Providing input for related modules to the annual review and reporting process
    • Maintaining an accurate and up-to-date record of student attendance and performance
    • Providing, when/if required, academic learning support to a small number of students
    • Participating in regular meetings with teaching and support staff.
    • Attending lectures given by Durham University to support student progression.
    • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject area (Essential)
    • A Master's degree or equivalent in a related subject area (Desirable)
    • Teaching experience delivering Law/Social Science programmes within a UK FE/Sixth form or higher education setting (Essential)
