Account Manager


In your role as the Account Manager you will handle the entire administrative process for a portfolio of pension schemes on a cradle to grave basis.


You will not be required to advise people relating to their pension schemes, but it will be necessary to have a combination of interpersonal skills and financial knowledge.


Duties

  • Handling general scheme correspondence
  • Handling ALL pension scheme investments including bank accounts, conventional investments, loans, property purchases (with borrowing), unquoted equity and other esoteric investments
  • Processing retirements and arranging pension payroll
  • Processing transfers in and out
  • Liaising with IFA's, accountants and other business introducer's regarding their clients
  • VAT registrations and VAT filing
  • Processing unauthorised payment tax charges
  • Updating the back office systems with information and ensuring accuracy of all records and files
  • Producing trust deeds and Trustee Resolutions
  • Decision making on loans/ properties/ esoteric investments/ unquoted shares/ retirement and death benefits


Your role will largely be administrative in nature and involve processing contributions, transfers, arranging the wide variety of pension scheme investments and calculating benefits.

You will need excellent numerical skills to arrange payment of pensions,other benefit payments and transfers. In addition, you will require literacy sills for written communication, reports, documents and trust deeds.


It will be part of your job to liaise with with other organisations to ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory aspects of pension administration.
