Advancing People are assisting our well known client in the recruitment of a Junior X-Ray modality engineer. You will need X-ray experience either from either Hospital, Military, Airport or industrial imagery. This is a remote role, covering the Wales region.


Key responsibilities

Technical and Major Functions

  • Repair a range of Medical Systems supplied CR Xray equipment. Work with Customer Service Engineers on repair of DR Xray and Mammography equipment when requested. Ensure that priorities and timescales are adhered to.
  • Routine Maintenance carry out maintenance in line with service contract requirements on CR Xray equipment. Work with Customer Service Engineers on maintenance of DR Xray and Mammography equipment when requested. Maintain a car stock of spare parts,ensuring inventory records are fully maintained. Carry out equipment upgrades during routine maintenance or as instructed.
  • Customer Service respond to technical requests from internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner, ensuring customer service levels are met.
  • Work with other members of the service team in Medical Systems to resolve customer service related problems.
  • Escalate to their Team Leader or Service Delivery Manager, in a timely fashion, any serious or potentially unresolved issues which may affect patient safety and customer/supplier relationships.
  • Ensure all Health and Safety requirements are adhered to at all times, reporting any potential hazards to their Team Leader or Service Delivery Manager.
  • Ensuring at all times that confidentiality is maintained regarding Medical Systems products. Honouring at all times any nondisclosure agreements entered into by Medical Systems. Ensuring that patient identifiable data is appropriately accessed and managed.
  • Gather information on competitor equipment and software and customer upgrade or purchasing plans, where appropriate, which could be of use to the Technical and Sales teams.

Training

  • Be prepared to undertake training responsibilities deemed appropriate to your knowledge and skill both before installation and after installation has been completed to ensure the customer is capable of operating equipment to agreed levels.
  • Attend training courses, both in the UK and abroad, as necessary to develop and refresh knowledge.

Administration

  • Maintain records and complete paperwork in accordance with EN ISO 13485, ISO 9001, ISO 27001 and ISO 20000 standards being operated by Medical Systems.
  • Provide continual feedback on the company image, product acceptance and service.
  • Stay within expense budget including mobile phone usage etc.
  • Submit expenses and car mileage monthly and within guidelines.
  • Ensure car is maintained in line with manufacturer's service details and maintain the car to a clean and safe condition.
  • Receive authority for holidays from Line Manager before booking.
  • Carry out other duties that may be requested.
  • Ensure presented smartly and appropriately, wearing the company logo shirt/Polo when at customer sites.

C. Key skills/competencies

  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Drive, enthusiasm and initiative.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
