    Description

    Caledonia Recruitment are currently recruiting for a fully qualified and experienced Senior Vehicle Technician to join a well established, nationwide automotive company.

    Job Summary:

    • Ensuring our sold and stock vehicles are serviced and checked to a high standard in our flagship branch.
    • Using diagnostic tools and equipment to Identify problems and troubleshoot problems effectively.
    • Working closely with sales to ensure sold units are delivered promptly.
    • Follow safety protocols and guidelines while working on vehicles and handling hazardous materials.

    • Coventry Sales Manager
    • Mobile tech fleet
    • Technical support team at head office
    • Parts department

    Key responsibilities:

    • To perform all work assigned quickly, economically and to the Company and Manufacturers standards.
    • Specialise in diagnostics, efficient route cause analysis and repair.
    • To advise the workshop controller if additional work is required on the vehicle and seek assistance from them in the rectification of any faults.
    • To maintain a high level of competence for work to be undertaken by undergoing on site training, attending courses at suppliers and manufacturers and reading technical bulletins as required; sharing diagnostic information updates with workshop colleagues.
    • To discuss with customers, problems with their vehicles as requested.
    • To ensure that the Company image of professionalism and quality of service is maintained when dealing with customers.
    • To operate all equipment, protective clothing and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
    • To assist management in the introduction of new methods of work designed to improve efficiency.
    • To deputise for the Workshop Controller as and when required.
    • To maintain good house keeping and health and safety practice in the workshop.
    • To operate all Company owned tooling in a responsible manner.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: From £17.89 per hour

    Expected hours: 38 per week

    Schedule:

    • Monday to Friday
