    Key information:

    • 80 - 90k + bonus
    • Lead a team
    • 3 days in office, 2 from home located in the City
    • Proven banking experience needed

    Key Accountabilities Include

    Statutory Accounts and Management reporting

    • Management of all statutory reporting obligations including year end financial statement and tax compliance.
    • Responsible for the timely production of the annual report and alignment with Pillar 3 disclosures
    • The production and integrity of the firm's financial information
    • Full financial reporting including narrative and commentary to Board members and the internal Executive Management Team (ExCo)
    • P/L, cost centre and departmental reporting and analysis of product profitability KPI's and revenue drivers
    • Full financial analysis and commentary regarding revenue streams including working on new product launches etc

    Financial Control

    • Oversee the daily reconciliation of customer deposits in issue in line with regulatory requirements ensuring the effective operation of reconciliation process and system inputs and optimal structure of financial reporting to support this process
    • Maintain tight financial control in line with the approved financial control framework and the business authority matrix
    • Work with both internal and external audit to improve the level of control for any identified weaknesses
    • Responsibility for year-end audit and liaison with external audit team to ensure clean audit sign off and no unidentified / unresolved issues
    • Ensure compliance with all reporting requirements ensuring adequate system of record to fulfil these obligations
    • Responsible for the following policies: Accounting policy, Financial Control Framework
    • Manage the process of monthly balance sheet review to ensure appropriate application of accounting policy including accruals and accounting judgments

    You'll Need to Have

    Essential

    • Professionally qualified, ACA strongly preferred
    • Proven track record of leading a team within the finance function
    • Direct experience of banking (corporate and retail) including familiarity with relevant regulations and commercial drivers
    • Articulate and balanced and able to comfortably work cross function with all levels in the organisation
    • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines and to take on responsibility outside of the specific area of responsibility
    • Excellent system skills including advanced knowledge of Excel
