    Description

We are recruiting for a confident, experienced and enthusiastic Retail Development Manager (Charity Shops) to join our hardworking team.

The successful candidate will lead and manage the staff and volunteer team at our 5 Charity shops, identify new shop locations and set up new shops. This is a hybrid-remote position, working from home with regular visits to our charity shops and other sites.

    Job purpose

RSPCA Suffolk Central Branch is an independent and primarily self-funding charity whose aim is to help animals in need in our local area, through rehoming, rehabilitation and provision of services such as veterinary care, neutering, microchipping and advice.

With the costs of living crisis still hitting hard and costs like vet fees increasing significantly, we look to our shops as a key income source to fund our work. We have two shops in Ipswich, one in Stowmarket, one in Felixstowe and have just (December 2023) opened our latest in Bury St Edmunds, which includes a small coffee shop. All our shops use the BMcAzurri Gift Aid system for in-kind donations and GA is an important source of income.

Building on this success, we are looking for an experienced charity retail professional to develop and deliver cost effective income generation across our existing portfolio, expand our bricks and mortar outlets within our Branch area and re-establish our online sales channel.

As a Retail Development Manager, you will be required to provide excellent leadership for the Branch's retail income stream, responsible for both the day-to-day operations and the development of the Branch's shop network.

Please note : When applying via please include a CV and supporting statement, highlighting one key piece of experience that you think is important for this role.
