    Description

    Absolute Recruitment are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Technician to join one of their growing clients based in Whitchurch, Shropshire SY13 area.


    Our client is looking for a new member of the team on a full time basis to join their growing busy team.

    The ideal candidate's responsibilities will be to -To support the Quality Department by ensuring that the quality systems and standards in place are maintained, and that the business produces food that is safe, legal, meets

    Quality and customer standards.

    Ensure the day-to-day Quality Assurance tasks are carried out and provide

    Advice and guidance to another department

    Duties

    • Ensure a day-to-day Quality presence at our client is through the auditing schedules, day to day issues and routine quality tasks.
    • To maintain the highest hygiene standards throughout the site
    • Ensure routine quality checks are carried out and completion of records.
    • Ensure records and quality information is checked for compliance to procedures and standards and provide guidance / training where requested.
    • Carry out GMP & Glass & Plastic Internal audits.
    • Assist in trouble shooting and problem-solving regarding product safety and communicate all findings.
    • Carry out Environmental tests through swabbing to schedule, logging samples with the laboratory. Ensure re-tests are completed where necessary.
    • Deal with all customer complaints in the first instance within a timely manner
    • Liaise with Customer site audits.
    • Work with the Quality team to ensure documents are controlled within the Quality Systems.
    • Contribute to be a key member of the Quality Team.
    • Where required raise and communicate Internal non-conformances, establish root cause analysis and corrective actions within required timescales, advising action and close out.
    • Where required raise external non-conformances, and document close out.
    • Where required Investigate Customer complaints, establish root cause analysis and corrective actions within required timescales, advising action and close out.
    Deputise for other members of the Quality team where required

    • Interpersonal skills.
    • Communication skills – internally and externally.
    • HACCP level 3 (beneficial but not essential)
    • Internal audit level
    • TACCP & VACCP (beneficial but not essential)
    • Food Safety level 3 (beneficial but not essential)
    A Driving license would be essential and willing to travel between sites (Crewe & Whitchurch)
