    Explore Group are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our clients team in Manchester.

    As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in architecting, developing, and maintaining their data infrastructure within the Azure Cloud environment.

    Your expertise will be instrumental in driving the success of their data-driven initiatives, with a focus on efficiency, scalability, and reliability.

    Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes within the Azure Cloud environment, utilising components such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Synapse Analytics.

    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions that support business objectives.
    Optimise data architecture and performance to ensure efficient data processing and storage.
    Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance.
    Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner.
    Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending innovative solutions to enhance our data infrastructure.

    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.

    Proven experience as a Data Engineer, with a focus on designing and implementing data solutions within the Azure Cloud environment.

    Expertise in Azure services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Synapse Analytics (formerly SQL Data Warehouse).

    Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, SQL, and/or Scala.

    Experience working within the financial services sector is highly desirable, with exposure to Credit Reference Agency (CRA) data considered a significant advantage.

    Located in or willing to relocate to Manchester, UK.
