Your role

Are you a Compliance Professional interested in developing and driving solutions that advance UBS's strategic objectives? Do you execute with excellence, are you entrepreneurial, proactive and forward looking? We are looking for someone who will:
cover the FX, Rates and Credit (FRC) businesses within the UBS Investment Bank

- liaise with senior management in the FRC businesses as well as functional leaders in compliance, legal, risk and other areas to provide effective challenge, guidance and advice
- assist with integration activity related to the UBS-CS merger, as it impacts the FRC businesses
- provide support to Group Treasury functions (including ALM; Funding; Investment and Execution) as required.
- actively participate in Best Execution forums as well as various other regional, global and cross-product committees.
- draft and publish policies and procedures that pertain to the FRC business
- participate and provide support in regulatory inquiries
- develop and deliver compliance trainings
- perform thematic reviews to assess emerging risk themes

Our team sits within the Global Markets Compliance and Operational Risk team (GM C&ORC), part of the Governance Compliance Regulatory Group (GCRG). GCRG aims to build trust, help safeguard our business, and support controlled growth and strive for new ways to proactively identify and control existing and emerging risks in a rapidly changing and increasingly digital world. GM C&ORC helps accomplish this by providing independent oversight, challenge and control over the nonfinancial risks arising from UBS's business activities across multiple levels to ensure compliance, conduct and operational risks are understood, owned, and managed to the Firm's risk appetite.
As part of the second line of defense, GM C&ORC identifies and assesses compliance, regulatory and reputational risk by providing independent oversight and challenge of risks, and establishing independent frameworks for risk assessment, measurement, aggregation, and reporting, protecting against noncompliance with applicable laws and regulations. This team aids in designing and implementing controls, policies, and procedures, implementing compliance training, working closely with independent testing teams, liaising with surveillance, conducting risk assessments, partnering with other parts of GCRG on surveillance, investigations and regulatory examinations and inquiries.

Your expertise
- bachelor's degree or higher in Business/Accounting/Finance/Law or similar field
- ideally 7+ years of experience in Compliance, legal, risk control or audit with experience in FRC
- experience of Group Treasury function is highly desirable
- ability to drive sustainable change, influence regulation and uphold industry leading standards
- help develop and drive culture and conduct agenda
- able to join the dots across divisions and business areas and collaborate to provide holistic risk control environment
- take ownership and act with integrity
- demonstrate strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- intellectually curious and able to critically challenge and verify
