    Furniture Estimator

    Salary: £35,000 to £45,000– subject to experience

    Leeds LS10, West Yorkshire – driving license essential

    Permanent: Full Time

    Our client, based on the outskirts of Leeds, is a market leader in the Hospitality Industry. They manufacturer and fit out Hotels with bespoke furniture & soft furnishings for clients such as Hilton, Marriott, Sheraton, Holiday Inn & Crowne Plaza. They are now on the lookout for a Furniture Estimator to join the team.


    Job Purpose

    The successful Estimator will be responsible for estimating a range of products & services within the company.

    Responsibilities but not limited to:-

    • Evaluate incoming enquiries to ensure they are in line with company capabilities
    • Identify and offer value engineer solutions to align with client's budget and expectations.
    • Conduct handover meeting with project managers to ensure project is delivered in accordance with the tendered concept and to budget.
    • Provide support to designers and project managers during the manufacturing and installation period of all orders.
    • Accurate assessments of the materials and labour required to construct furniture.
    • Understanding and interpreting client's drawings and tender documents.
    • Revise quotations in response to any design alterations from the client or end-user
    • Confident approach to question design intent to enable best manufacturing methods.
    • Continuous interaction with our manufacturing and design teams to advance estimating skills and knowledge.

    Essential Skills & qualifications

    • Over 5 years' experience within joinery/ furniture sector
    • Ability to organise & prioritise tasks
    • Appreciation of the need to get the job done on time and to the correct standard
    • Ability to solve problems by acting on own initiative
    • Actively develops strong relationships with suppliers and colleagues
    • IT Literate- particularly Excel
    • Good communicator, able to communicate at all levels
    • Willingness to learn
    • Attention to detail
    • Flexible approach and can-do attitude.
