Head of Health, Safety & Compliance Burton-on-Trent Circa £77,000

We are looking to appoint a highly experienced Health, Safety & Compliance leader.

This is an exceptional opportunity to provide professional health, safety & compliance leadership to our teams on all levels, as well as offering support and advice to the management teams, employees and contractors.

Therefore, we are seeking a postholder who will continue to improve performance through the implementation of health and safety management systems, as well as other current standards and legislation.

Successfully design, deliver and maintain a health and safety change programme to embed and drive a positive safety culture across the organisation
Ensure the timely delivery of associated health and safety management action plans and operational programmes
Oversee consistency of delivery of health and safety training, measure, identify and pursue significant issues
Assist in the development and delivery of strategic objectives, reporting to the board when required on performance
NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
Demonstrable experience in a construction/buildings maintenance/compliance environment
A track record in advising in a site/project environment
Hold a current driving licence and have access to a vehicle
Knowledge and experience of good working practices in Health, Safety and Compliance is crucial
Confidence to act as a member of the Operations Directorate, Wider Leadership and Senior Management Teams.
Experience of managing a team of health, safety and compliance professionals, have acted as a CDM Co-ordinator under CDM 2007 or a Client Advisor under CDM 2015
