    Key Responsibilities

    • Drive concurrent engineering efforts for our hyper cars vehicle range, with emphasis on electrical architecture design performance and power distribution.
    • Contribute to building model-based understanding of systems architecture, focusing on the electrical interfaces between systems, dynamic systems interactions, and interactions with the environment, including user and production tools interfaces.
    • Research, analyse and recommend architecture and networking strategies accounting for vehicles and feature roadmaps.
    • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of binary and distributed software-controlled functions relevant to power distribution and power management.
    • Formulate requirements and Functional Description documents, including defining network and other electrical interfaces for subsystems of the electrical architecture.
    • Participate in system analyses and reviews to ensure compliance with applicable quality, safety, security, and legal requirements.
    • Coordinate component and system development with suppliers, ensuring quality, managing risks, and adhering to project timelines. Track development progress, assess feature maturity and manage technical deliveries through the formulation of Feature Implementation Plans.
    • Apply electrical domain knowledge to support activities related to designing and maintaining test assets, such as lab-cars and component test rigs.
    • Manage engineering changes and collaborate on addressing issues arising during the engineering lifecycle. Utilize engineering design artifacts to perform impact and root cause analyses of issues. Work alongside stakeholders and domain experts to implement timely solutions.


    Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

    • Significant experience in systems engineering, particularly in electrical architectures design and power distribution for internal combustion engine vehicles.
    • Demonstrable understanding of underlying electrical interfaces, vehicle networks and diagnostic technologies.
    • Exposure to model-based systems engineering methods, languages and tools such as SysML, Capella, etc. Commitment and alignment to model-bases systems engineering practices is essential.
    • Working knowledge Electrical Distribution Systems, their development methodologies, and test and validation strategies.
    • Experience conducting FMEA, Reliability Analysis, Safety and Fault Tree analyses, etc.
    • Experience of project engineering with Tier 1 suppliers, preparation of project documentation and reports. Risk management, mitigation, and recovery planning.
    • Experience with Functional Safety standards, as well as familiarity with regulatory compliance processes, would be advantageous.
    • Possession of an Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Automotive or similar honours degree. Other recognised qualifications combined with relevant experience will be considered.
    • Full driving license is essential and no visa or other restrictions for working in the UK or travelling in the European Union.
