    Description

    As a Test Engineer, you will play a key role in the development and maintenance of our real-time service (data) delivery systems.

    You will work closely with product managers, systems operations managers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality software packages into the service delivery systems that meet our business needs.

    This is an opportunity to positively impact a suite of Hexagon Autonomy and Positioning applications and to help build and maintain a scalable, real-time data delivery system which will provide positioning and navigation content to the autonomous automotive market.

    We build low latency, highly available and secure applications that manage the processing and dissemination of positioning related data as a service and provide a reliable and positive experience for consumers.

    Our cross-functional DevOps team uses modern approaches and has an opportunity to influence the approach taken and design.

    We work at the forefront of autonomy and positioning technology, improving the accuracy, availability, and reliability of positioning across many market sectors including automotive, marine, agriculture, defence, and aerospace.

    Our systems are a mixture of globally distributed ground-based satellite navigation monitoring stations, server and cloud-based processing, and service distribution.

    We take time to start our projects to understand what we are creating and how we will achieve that.

    Test planning and strategy development in cooperation with systems engineering, operations engineering, and project management
    # Overseeing and communicating the planning, execution, status, and reporting of testing activities within a project
    # Contribute to product development by providing feedback on user experience
    # Contribute to and update test engineering processes and procedures with systems engineering
    # Comply with all VERIPOS health, safety, and environment policies and procedures

    Engineering or Computer Science degree with 5+ years of experience in a suitable discipline, including significant demonstrable time in a test engineering role.

    Experience with providing guidance and leadership within projects. Understanding and knowledge of test engineering principles, with a proven record of applying these in cross-functional product development. Significant experience in developing and managing high-quality test designs. Formal software testing accreditation such as ISEB/ISTQB.
    Strong technical and hands-on skills related to electronic hardware/software and communications equipment
    Knowledge of automotive or marine industry positioning and navigation equipment and standards
    Knowledge of Geomatics, GNSS, Software Development
    Testing accreditation ISTQB - Advanced Level Test Manager
