The Strategic Sponsorships Associate will work as a part of the Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) Strategic Events, Sponsorships and Creative Services Team.

The primary focus is learning and understanding the strategic direction and delivery of global sponsorships while executing on sponsorship activations and partner management.

The Associate will support EMEA Sponsorships. The job requires interaction and engagement with a broad range of business stakeholders, senior management and external partners.

The Associate will assist with activating strategic sponsorships, joining project work streams, creating ad hoc reporting, assist in managing client and vendor relationships, maintaining pre and post-event reports & recaps, managing the sponsorship calendar and keeping up to date with culturally relevant events and initiatives globally.

The Associate will support other team members on larger sponsorships, creative initiatives, and ticket coverage.

The goal of this role is to help the CIB increase client business, deepen existing client relationships, help drive efficiencies for all internal partners and maintain J.P.

Morgan brand standards in all events and sponsorships.
Sponsorship Strategy

  • Provide support to the J.P. Morgan Sponsorships team on sponsorships in EMEA
  • Develop relationships with the internal and external partners for each individual sponsorship
  • Be proficient in understanding the sponsorship scope and communicating it internally and externally
  • Understand the parameters around reviewing and analysing prospective sponsorship opportunities and communicate how it does or does not fit with our strategy
  • Understand how to work across lines of business to create holistic sponsorship packages that drive ROI for various stakeholders, clients and business functions across the firm
  • Research and stay informed on competitor sponsorship initiatives and strategies
Sponsorship Partners/Properties

  • Attend weekly meetings with sponsorship partners
  • Create and/or update roles & responsibilities, asset trackers, creative calendars and sponsorship/event calendars for each property
  • Prepare premeeting materials for partners and stakeholders
  • Understand expenses and expense tracking as it relates to specific events
  • Manage end to end creative process with Creative Services Team, including creative marketing requests in design team SharePoint site
  • Help in creating postevent recaps and reporting tools for record keeping
Sponsorship Activation

  • Manage data maintenance for all sponsorships
  • Support with planning, communication and onsite facilitation for sponsorships
  • Help liaise with the business, business managers and admins to keep them informed of sponsorships, updates and available opportunities
  • Be available for onsite activation which includes helping manage hospitality area and welcome/interact with the attendees
Sponsorship Content

  • Keep informed on current events and trends
  • Contribute to working list of relevant content contributors; expanding clients, internal executives at J.P. Morgan, authors, athletes, thought leaders and other culturally relevant figures
  • Assist with writing copy for advertisements and media assets
  • Manage the development and execution of ongoing content and project calendars
Tickets

  • Support in the planning of strategic use of firm ticket subscriptions for client events/entertainment at: Lord's Cricket Ground, O2 Arena + Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships
  • During busy periods, help with the ticket allocation, order management and approval processing from ticket point people entering data into internal systems

Qualifications:


  • Detailoriented, organised, selfsufficient and motivated
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a high energy fast paced environment
  • Good sense of time management, prioritisation and ability to execute against deliverables
  • Can problem solve and be proactive in escalation
  • Comfortable to interact with senior members of events + firm
  • Strong judgment and awareness of organisational hierarchy and respective business needs
  • Able to take accountability for sponsorship related requests and issue solution
  • Must be able to rollup your sleeves, have a team player attitude and commitment to success

Requirements:


  • Min 35 years of experience in marketing, events, tickets, operations, finance or support function
  • Basic knowledge of sponsorships, events, sports venues and museums preferable
  • Interest in travel preferable
  • Proficient in MD Word, Excel, SharePoint and JPM internal websites
