    So, what will I be doing?

    As Specifications Technologist you'll be generating effectively and efficiently finished product specifications and any associated documentation. As well as reviewing and approving artwork files & proofs on the relevant web based systems, all inline with the relevant critical path timings to launch and inline with the necessary legislative requirements.

    Specifications Technologists are important in ensuring that the products we launch are legally compliant for shelf and are the contact between us and the relevant Retailer customer.

    This is an opportunity to join the Finished Product Specifications team within Technical Operations.

    Key responsibilities:

  • Undertaking the completion of customer and Brand specifications and associated documentation to meet required critical paths.
  • Ensuring that all specifications and artwork is accurate and complies with all relevant legislation, as per the critical path.
  • Managing the approval and completion of all paperwork required for Fair Trade, Red Tractor and Soil Association accreditation requirements.
  • Highlighting and escalating issues associated with critical path deviations.
  • Reviewing and commenting on relevant artwork platforms, ensuring timescales are met to achieve project delivery.
  • Completing, effectively and accurately, technical information/questionnaires as required for customers (e.g. packaging weights returns or product data spreadsheets)
  • Ensuring the review of product specifications is carried out in an accurate efficient and timely manner, at a minimum annually.
  • Ensuring all new products are added to the nutritional master tracker and confirming post launch samples match the nutritional submitted on spec for launch.
  • Acting as a centre of excellence and first point of contact providing information on all food legislation issues.
  • Generating nutritional and ingredient information.
  • Monitoring and tracking relevant costs, reports activities and costs, being responsible for the completion of the weekly, monthly, annual KPI's as relevant.
  • Collating information for customer reports and presentations.
  • Completing technical compliance activities and reports.
  • Supporting the technical customer services officer, inputting data and completing reports.
  • Supporting on administration of QMS.
  • Hours (as appropriate): can involve Hybrid working
